My Love Upon a Cloud I set my love upon a cloud,   That sails the heavens, vast and blue, Entrusted with my souls desire   To somehow find its way to you. With unknown miles to yet unfold,   O'er mountain heights and golden plains, Beyond great lakes and desert sand,   To one who, in my heart, remains. Meandering the sky above,   Beneath the star lit Milky Way, Unyielding in its faithful cause,   In search of you without delay. When rain's released upon your door,   And skies are noisy, dark, and loud, Showered upon you from above,   Is my love sent upon a cloud. copyright © L. E. McKee, 2009 |
