Linny Buck In Memoriam: Linny L. Buck
This is dedicated to my dear friend, Linny Buck, who passed away on September 4, 2011 from head injuries sustained from a fall down stairs.

I only knew her from Twitter ( @Linny_Buck ) but we became fast Twitter friends. Linny always had a sense of humor about almost everything. Whenever I was down, Linny always brought me to laughter with her great sense of humor, an encouraging thought, and her fantastic view of life.

I wrote the poem below several years ago. I was surprised after I had written it that it actually had a dual meaning. One is obvious: the journey to the home of a true friend or loved one you can’t wait to see.

The other is our short journey through life and in the end, falling into the arms of our Creator for our eternal rest.

I love you, Linny. Rest in peace. I will miss you and our chats SO much. I’m heartbroken over your untimely and sudden passing.

My sincerest condolences to the family, friends, pets and all loved ones Linny has left behind.

Linny L. Buck Obituary

The Pathway To Your Door

The pathway to your door,
   Always brings a smile.
Although not really long,
I dwell there for a while.

The pathway to your door,
   Lined with love and cheer,
With rows of blooming flowers,
   And drawing nature near.

The pathway to your door,
   Leads to one who’s kind.
Who’s loving and forgiving,
   And always on my mind.

And when I reach your door,
My soul is now at rest.
I fall into your arms,
   The ending of my quest.

I love you now and always,
   You love me even more.
How wondrous is the journey,
   The pathway to your door.
