Happy Birthday to all July Birthdays!!!
(Mine is January 27 - Aquarius)
"I really don't write that often. I typically write when something truly affects my emotions - happy or sad. I find my poetry so moving and emotional that I'm often surprised at what I have written. I almost always tear up when reading my poems - either from the absolute beauty I see in the words I have written, in the emotions I feel I have successfully conveyed or in revisiting the loss or sorrow I have felt at various times in my life."
"I love all of my poetry as each poem has a special meaning to me. I especially love the poem
My Maxwell. The poem is about my life together with my little Pekingese-Poodle, Max, and then his passing on February 10, 2006, after having him for 17 of his 18 years. Re-reading it always brings tears to my eyes as I love him so much and miss him terribly."
"The poem reminds me of all of the pets I have had that have passed on. I know Max is in heaven with my German Shepherd, April (his "mommy"), and I know that both Max and April know how much I love them, how much I miss them, and that I love them always."
"I miss Max so much that I now have a new Pekingese-Poodle, Theo. Theo was born on Christmas and is now two (I got him when he was 6 months old). You can see my various pets photo's in the Photo Album section."
"Regardless of the emotions they invoke, I love my poetry. I particularly enjoy the emotions and imagery I am able to evoke. Emotions should never be feared. While I don't believe people should allow themselves to be guided and ruled strictly by their emotions, no one should be afraid of them. Emotions make us both passionate and compassionate about various experiences and events in our lives."
"My poetry captures what I sometimes cannot say aloud. Writing poetry helps me to contain my emotions by putting them on paper but also to express them."
"I truly hope you find as much enjoyment in my poetry as I do."
